Introductory Class
APF Introductory classes provides all dog owners the basic tools to teach their dogs the necessary social skills that a good canine companion needs.

Positive Reinforcement is the method used by all APF instructors.
Basic Class
The Basic Class offers students an opportunity to strengthen the dogs' training skills. Students will learn how to consistently get behaviours on cue, to teach their dogs to perform for longer periods, to do stays at greater distances, and to work with their dogs around greater distractions.

Prerequisites: Dog must be a graduate of the Introductory Class.
Intermediate Level
· Handler Focus
· Sit (must sit until released – handler moves short distance from dog)
· Drop (until released – handler moves short distance from dog)
· Semi formal Recall (to sit position, in front of handler)
· Heel on Lead (incl. Sit when Handler Stops)
· Left, left about turn, right & right about turns
· Stand with handler moving around dog
· Agility (intermediate level)
All above are performed on lead at the Intermediate Level
Advanced Obedience
· Handler Focus (continuous)
· Sit (handler moves out of sight)
· Sit from distance (using hand signal)
· Drop (handler moves out of sight)
· Drop from distance (using hand signal)
· Stand (handler moves away from dog)
· Stand for Examination – Handler stands in front of dog)
· Heel Free (off lead)
· Formal Recall (off lead to finish at heel)
· Weave Heeling & Figure Eights
· Obedience Trial Training
All above are performed on and off lead
