Introductory Class The All Paws Forward Introductory Class provides all dog owners with the basic tools to teach their dogs the necessary social skills that a good canine companion needs. The Introductory Class is for all dogs over the age of 8 weeks and puppies must have had their 1st vaccinations 10 days prior to starting. The course runs for 4 weeks. During this time you will also have access to a Behaviour Consultant who can help you with any difficulties you may be experiencing. Next logical class: Man & Best Friend Program Positive Reinforcement is the method used by all APF instructors. Further training is available after completing the Introductory Course Man and Best Friend ProgramPrerequisites: Dog must be a graduate of the Introductory Class.
The Man & Best Friend Program is a Government Approved Training Program offering clients an opportunity to strengthen their dog training skills. Clients will learn how to consistently get behaviours on cue, to teach their dogs to perform for longer periods, to do stays at greater distances, and to work with their dogs around greater distractions. Classes start at 9am. *Loose leash walking * Heel *Sit and Drop on command *Recall *Sit and Down Stay *Leave it *Show no Aggression towards people or dogs *No lunging on lead when presented with bikes, prams etc, passing by On graduation a certificate is presented which can be taken to your local council for a discount on your pet registration Cost: Full Membership $250 with nothing more to pay until you receive your certificate. Members must be in attendance at least once a month for their membership to continue. Casual membership: Joining fee of $50 then a $10 training fee whenever you attend classes. Man and Best Friend Extended ProgramPrerequisites: Dog must be a graduate of the Man & Best Friend Program. The Man & best Friend Extended Program offers clients an opportunity to improve their dog training skills.
