Hi Ella, this sort of behavior in a dog can be a real problem for their owners. While this sort of problem can be dealt with, often fairly successfully it is something that will require you working with a professional. Having worked with these types of dogs in the past, I feel confident in saying that it is not something that I can easily explain here but involves techniques that need to be taught to the handler. In the meantime I would suggest that you muzzle your dog when in public in case he gets away from you or comes in close enough contact to cause harm to another dog as this will only end bad for your dog. I am happy to discuss this further with you as well as your options if you would like to contact us on the 1300 number.

Cheers

Dear Ella
I agree with LTBC that aggression is a serious issue and it is best to call the 1300 number so that you can discuss the problem with one of our staff personally. For everyone's safety use a muzzle on him when out in public -make sure it is fitted properly so it is secure but that it still allows him to pant so he does not overheat.
Cheers
